Redundant and Repetitive

I am no coniseur of diet drinks, but I've recently seen "Coca-Cola Zero" available all over the place (but still no Diet Cherry Coke.) It advertises itself as being coke with zero calories. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Diet Coke? I mean, isn't that the point of diet drinks--no calories?

If somebody can shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it.

Totally thought the same thing. Chalk it up to marketing, and probably the male population - it would probably be cooler to drink Coke-Zero than a girlie Diet Coke...maybe?

The difference is that Diet Coke is sweetened with Aspartame and Coke-Zero is sweetened with Splenda. So in theory, Coke-Zero should taste more like regular coke but w/out the calories/sugar/carbs.

I'm a diet and nutrition nazi, so unfortunately, my brain absorbs random, useless facts about things of this nature.

On the subject of which variety of Coke is coolest, I once read a quote by Paris Hilton that said, "Only fat people drink Diet Coke." (Meaning I guess that she's genetically superior enough to drink the real thing without suffering the consequences.)
